Barton to Host Shredding Event May 2

HAMBURG – Rep. Jamie Barton (R-Berks/Schuylkill) announced he will be hosting a free Shredding Event on Saturday, May 2, from 9 a.m. to noon. It will take place in the Cabela’s parking lot, located at 100 Cabela Drive, Hamburg.

“Scammers are constantly looking for any way to get their hands on your personal information,” Barton said. “Now that tax season is finished, it’s the perfect time to safely purge your records. Gather up any forms with your address, phone numbers, passwords, credit card details, Social Security number or bank account information and bring it to Hamburg on May 2.  We’ll dispose of it safely for free!”

There will be a limit of three boxes and/or bags per household and the event is limited to residential customers only (no businesses). Please remove any binders, binder clips, paper clips or plastic folders prior to the event. Contact Barton’s office at 570-668-1240 with any questions.
